The Animal Hospital of Kentwood began a charity project to help
abandoned kittens and adult cats about 10 years ago. Each
year we
take in 30-50 abandoned kittens and a few adult cats and help them
find
homes. The project is a true group effort. Everyone on our
staff
assists in care from the Doctors that provide exams, treatment and
surgery, technical staff and kennel staff that give
medications,
provide care and cleaning, as well as reception staff that screen
applicants for caring homes. The charity project is
funded
thorough donations when kittens are dropped off or adopted,
generous
donations from our clients and funds from the Animal Hospital of
Kentwood. |
We have a formal adoption program that requires completing an
adoption form and checking housing and veterinary references.

Hello. My name is Flicka. I am a beautiful, black and brown true tabby with black swirls. I came to AHOK on November 30, '07 after being found near the home of a staff member. I was adopted into the purrrfect home on March 17, '08. It took a while but it was well worth the wait! |

Hi! We were the most recent bunch up for adoption at AHOK. We got lucky to find homes in pairs! Two of us found a home on January 18, and the other two on February 5, '08. Keep checking our website and sign out front for news of more lovable kittens to come :) |

Hi! My name is Dante. I am a very loving boy. I was found curled up on someone's doorstep. I love to be held and I never stop purring. I was a little skinny and had a bit of a cold when I came to AHOK, but the nice people here fixed me right up. I am quite the character and found a loving home in late December. |

Hi! My name is Nygella and I was dropped off at the Animal Hospital of
Kentwood as a stray. The Doctors noticed right away that I was
pregnant and I finally had my kittens on 9/14/07. I had 3 black, 2
tabby, and 1 black & white. All of my babies found homes, and on
December 10 I was adopted into my own loving home. |
