Our kitten adoption program is officially closed, however, there are many cute puppies, kittens, and dogs that are available through Kentwood's Pet Tale Rescue.  There is a bulletin board in our office that has pictures of available pets and information about the rescue.  Most of the time if there are kittens available for adoption, they are in our kitten enclosure for display.  Please follow this link for their website:

Hello. My name is Flicka. I am a beautiful, black and brown true tabby with black swirls.  I came to AHOK on November 30, '07 after being found near the home of a staff member.  I was adopted into the purrrfect home on March 17, '08.  It took a while but it was well worth the wait!

I was found curled up on someone's doorstep.  I love to be held and I never stop purring.  I was a little skinny and had a bit of a cold when I came to AHOK, but the nice people here fixed me right up. I am quite the character and found a loving home in late December.

Hi! My name is Nygella and I was dropped off at the Animal Hospital of Kentwood as a stray. The Doctors noticed right away that I was  pregnant and I finally had my kittens on 9/14/07.  I had 3 black, 2 tabby, and 1 black & white.  All of my babies found homes, and on December 10 I was adopted into my own loving home.
