What to Expect During Your Visit

Scheduling a Visit with Us
|
To reserve time for your first visit, our team will need 5 to 10 minutes of your time to set up your account over the phone.
We require a valid credit/debit card number be placed on file prior to the appointment time being reserved.
Please have all records emailed to us at ahokreception@yahoo.com or bring physical copies to the appointment.

Arriving for Your Appointment
|
Please use the parking lot on the west side of the building to park your car. Please call us at (616)-538-2470 once you arrive and our team will prompt you when it is okay to enter the lobby.

3.
Review Medical History with our Team
|
Once in the exam room, our team takes the time to thoroughly review any available medical records to get a complete picture of your pet's past and current needs.
We will ask about your pet's lifestyle, behavior, diet and any recent concerns. We believe in treating the whole picture - not just the symptoms.

4.
Physical Exam by Doctor
|
During the exam, the Doctor will enter the room with a Veterinary Assistant or Technician. They will perform a full physical exam while reviewing any concerns you may have and continue to discuss preventative care or treatment options.

Questions for our Team
|
We believe great veterinary care starts with open communication. That's why we welcome your questions - big or small - at every step of your visit.
No question is too small when it comes to your pet's health. We want you to feel confident, informed and supported - because we are in this together.
If you are unsure who to bring a question to, there will be time after the exam to talk with the Doctor one-to-one.

Wrapping Up Your Visit
|
At the end of each appointment, we take a few extra moments to make sure you leave feeling confident and well-informed about your pet's health.
We will give you a personalized pet report card to take home - which outlines everything covered during your visit. We will briefly go over the instructions or next steps before directing you to check out with our front desk team members.
Our front desk will review your visit, process payment and help schedule any future appointments.
